Jane Flounder is a pink snork with red hair, and she is an exercise icon all over Snorkland. Daffney is at first strongly influenced by her, as are some other female snorks. In the episode Gills Just Wanna Have Fun, Jane comes to visit, and everyone including Daffney dresses up like her. But after Daffney sees all the other girls looking just like Jane, Daffney ditches the clothes and decides she only needs to be herself. Jane Flounder's name parodies actress, feminist, and activist Jane Fonda.
