"Summer and Snork" is the 16th episode of Season 4. A famous actress named Tallulah Bankfish stars in a local play, but things get crazy. Junior wants to get rid of Allstar as the lead role, and Bigweed and Lil Seaweed plan on kidnapping the main actress.
Auditions for the play "Summer and Snork" are taking place after school at the Snorkland Playhouse Theater. After those take place, Marina tells the snorks of Tallulah Bankfish's arrival from New Snork City, and that she will be playing the main role of Blanche DuBrobnick, and because Daffney gave her best performance, she gets to be her understudy. Bigweed and Lil Seaweed hear about it from above the catwalk, so they plan on kidnapping Tallulah and putting her up for a ransom of about a million clams.
The next day, Tallulah arrives greets everyone, and then Junior gives a long boring speech that puts everyone asleep. As the Sea Urchins come up with crazy ways to kidnap the actress, callbacks take place, and Allstar gets the role of Kid Cuwalksi. Upset and angry, Junior decides to disguise himself as the Phantom of the Playhouse to make Allstar relinquish the role and have Junior take over. As Tallulah and Daffney talk at the hotel suite, the Sea Urchins disguise themselves as hotel employees and fail at kidnapping her.
Meanwhile, Junior makes Allstar's experience performing in the theater as awful as it can be. After so many pranks and close calls, his friends consider that he drops out of the play, but he won't do it. Casey and Tooter decide to do some investigating, and they soon learn that it has been Junior all along. They decide to pull a prank on him on the night of dress rehearsal. But as this is done, Bigweed and Lil Seaweed successfully kidnap Tallulah. The play still goes on, so a nervous Daffney takes over her role as Blanche. Tallulah escapes and the play is a success.

Memorable Quotes[]
Marina: Everyone, gather around. I have an announcement to make. As you all know, our school's annual play production is Snorkland's biggest charity fundraiser!
Junior: Yeah, and my ticket to stardom!
Junior: And I recall another time, when I was just a wee snork, *everyone else has fallen asleep* I was cast in that classic play by William Sharkspeare, A Midsummer Snork's Dream.
Tallulah: Oh, darling, do his batteries ever run down?
Bigweed: You know what? You know, snorks is givin' me an idea.
Lil Seaweed: Save me from your ideas!
Bigweed: Let's take Junior's plan a step further!
Lil Seaweed: *sarcastically* Oh, great! Now you wanna get into that corny old play, too!
Bigweed: No, no, no!
(Daffney turns to see Bigweed and Lil Seaweed swinging down towards them)
Allstar: Great! I didn't know Tooter could howl like that!
Bigweed: *laughs*
Junior: Th-that can't be! *runs off* Help! Help!
Tallulah: Darling, darling, I don't think that's your line.
Junior: Allstar you can have your part back! I don't wanna play Kid Cuwalski anymore!
Lil Seaweed: I don't know how much longer I can take this!
Bigweed: Don't worry. Some one will be here with that million clam ransom any minute.
Tallulah: *gasps* One million clams?! How dare you put a price tag on me!!! Why, I'm worth at least 5 million clams!
Errors[]
When Allstar mentions the howling noise backstage, he's in his regular clothes again
Junior says Snorkland in his speech, but this episode refers to the city as Snorktown
The dog's name changes from Dippy to Biffy
Why does a hotel have a doorbell when most use keys?
Allstar calls Marina "Auntie Marina," when she's really Casey's aunt and not Allstar's
Allusions[]
Title parodies Summer and Smoke by Tennessee Williams, but since the content of said play was most likely too sexual for the show's target audience, Jim Pfanner made the play "Summer and Snork" based off of another famous Tennessee Williams play, A Streetcar Named Desire - in fact, some of the characters the snorks portray are named after the Kowalski's and even Blance DuBois, and her famous line "I've always depended on the kindness of strangers" is even used in context
Tallulah Bankfish is named after the famous late-Broadway actress Tallulah Bankhead
Tallulah also mentions Ethel Mermaid, which is a reference to another late Broadway actress named Ethel Merman
Phantom of the Playhouse parodies Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic Phantom of the Opera
Apparently, Broadway exists in the snork world
Atlantis is mentioned in the play, although this could also be a oceanic name for Atlanta
Ocean Express is probably a reference to FedEx
New Snork City is obvious referencing New York City
William Sharkspeare and his play A Midsummer Snork's Dream parody William Shakespeare and his play A Midsummer Night's Dream
Catfish on a Hot Tin Roof is referencing yet another famous Tennessee Wiliams play, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Snorklahoma references Roger's and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!
