"The Day the Ocean Stood Still" is the 20th episode of Season 3. A UFO and aliens form the planet Seaturn come to visit Snorkland, but everything is not what it seems.
Plot Summary[]
It's late at night in Snorkland, and everyone is sound asleep. That is, until Occy sees a beaming light coming through Allstar's bedroom window, and he barks at it. Soon enough, everyone else in Snorkland wakes up to see the bright light. They wonder what it is, although Governor Wetworth panics and gets the Snorkland Army to stop it. An alien UFO spaceship comes down, and two aliens named Biff and Buff come out.
All the snorks are fascinated by this so they introduce themselves. Daffney invites them over for clamburgers, and the aliens eat them by placing them in pockets near their stomachs. Occy doesn't trust them, so in response he growls at them. Biff and Buff tell them they come from a planet called Seaturn, but Snip and Snap do a little research and prove the planet doesn't exist. However, Biff and Buff show them a short film about the planet for proff. Seaturn is supposed to have fountains of gold and free clothes (which almost makes Daffney faint).
Everyone in town wants to go to Seatrun, but Corky believes something suspicious is taking place. Daffney decides that her and Allstar will go check it out together, then come back and tell everyone about it. Soon enough, they head on the ship and fly to Seaturn. Later that night, Allstar speaks to the snorks through a video monitor, telling them that Daffney's gotten free credit cards and he couldn't convince her to return to Snorkland. The same goes for Occy, who's met a bunch of new friends. They all decide to go, except for Snip and Snap.
Corky had forgotten his bag, so they try giving it to him when they see from above the ship Biff and Buff/Allstar revealing themselves as Bigweed and Lil Seaweed in disguise. They had pretended to be aliens all along so they could fool the snorks into working in their salt mines. Snip and Snap find Jojo in the jungle, and so they tell him of the news. All of them find the snorks being enslaved, and so they free them and stop the Sea Urchins. As the snorks return home, they learn that not everything's better elsewhere. Another alien spaceship coems down to scare the snorks, but it was really Snip and Snap pretending, so they laugh in response.

- This episode marks the final appearance of Snip and Snap in the series
Memorable Quotes[]
Daffney: *outside as beans touch her skin* Oh, clamtastic! Now I can get a suntan at night!
Corky: It looks like some sort of alien UFO!
Daffney: Oh poo! And I thought it was a floating mall!
Corky: You see, I told you there was nothing to be afraid of. *door hatch pops open* Ah! Swim for the hills! it's alive!
Jojo: *watching from a distance* Oh good! It was only some aliens! Now I can go back to the jungle, *yawns* and get some sleep!
Daffney: Hey! I got a plan! Allstar and I will go to Seaturn, check it out, and return to tell you what it's like!
Snorks: Hooray!
Allstar: *gulps* We will?!
Occy: *barks and refuses to go*
Allstar: *pulls on his leash* Come on, Occy. The food on these flights isn't that bad.
(all the snorks finally return home)
Daffney: It sure looked like a UFO to me!
Corky: We shouldn't have rushed off so soon. I guess it's true when they say the water isn't bluer on the other side.
Jojo: *grabs the Sea Urchins and destorys the UFo with his foot, thus revealing Bigweed's shark sub*
Junior: Yeah, it's amazing what you can do with special effects.
Errors[]
- When the snorks go check out the "alien ship," Corky's gloves are red and his legs are missing for a breif second
Allusions[]
- Title and plot parody the classi 1951 film The Day the Earth Stood Still
- "Water's not always bluer on the other side" is similar to "The grass isn't always greener on the other side"
